LV= KidZone: Child safety initiative returns to resort’s beaches

The successful child beach safety scheme, LV= KidZone, is back on Bournemouth’s beaches for summer 2015.

LV= KidZone launched this week ahead of the summer season and will run every day throughout the school holidays.

The scheme works by giving children free colour-coded wristbands that match up with clearly marked zones along the seafront.

Specially trained LV= KidZone staff, as well as seafront rangers and RNLI lifeguards, are then on hand to help reunite missing children with their families.

Seafront Ranger Tom Harris said: “Bournemouth has seven miles of sandy beaches that attract an estimated 4 million visitors over the holiday season. LV= KidZone is a quick and effective way to ensure children’s safety while they’re having fun on our award-winning coast.”

Special thanks goes out to the pupils from Miss Sheppard’s Year One class, Epiphany School, Muscliff who helped to promote this week’s launch.
