Seaside visitors become screen stars this Christmas

As Christmas draws ever closer there are still many ways to get into the Festive Spirit in Bournemouth this year.

Pier Approach is already home to much Christmas activity and from now until January 3rd people can also be entertained by a large purpose-built fully interactive Big Screen, perfectly positioned under The Big Wheel!

At the end of the Enchanted Christmas Tree Walkway, another charming seasonal installation at Pier Approach, there is Santa’s Post Box.

Visitors are invited to take selfies while mailing their favourite Christmas Cracker jokes into Santa’s Post Box, with the hashtags #lovebournemouth and #bcrackers. Upload these images to:-

The jokes will then be flashed up on the Big Screen. At the same time you will be automatically entered into a competition with a chance of winning one £500 and two £250 One4All gift vouchers. Winners to be announced week beginning January 9th 2017.

It is also possible to upload any other Festive image or message with the #lovebournemouth and #bcrackers as above.

Chris Manning, of iMAG says , “It’s been an absolute delight collaborating with PowWow TV and the coastal BID Manager Stefan Krause and his team over the course of this summer. It’s a genuine thrill to now see our iMAG screen and structure in place and ready for the Christmas Holidays! I could not be happier to see it in my hometown in its beautiful seafront location in Bournemouth.”

Stefan Krause, Coastal BID Manager, comments, “The wheel adds a new sparkle Bournemouth’s amazing seafront and the Christmas tree walkway will be fun for children to explore. The latest digital gadget for Bournemouth is the Big Screen on Pier Approach, promising much Christmas joy for the whole family.”

Billy Brennan of Pow Wow TV also remarks , “We are truly excited to be working in collaboration Bournemouth Tourism and Bournemouth Coastal Bid at this time of year, to manage and deliver an engaging festive campaign through one of PowWow TV’s large format digital screens. Using our technology together with social media we are bringing to life the spirit of Christmas in Bournemouth.”
