All good things must come to an end and sadly Sunday marks the last day of the 2017 Bournemouth Air Festival but there’s still a great line up.
The festival site again opens at 10.00am with 1.5 miles of trading stands along the seafront between the Bournemouth and Boscombe piers. Here you will also find the Army Village, the Royal Navy Village and the Royal Marines Commando. At Pier Approach you will find the RAF Village which features a mock up of a full size Chinook!
The Royal Marines will be demonstrating Unarmed Combat on the beach at 11.30am.
If you missed the Royal Navy and Royal Marine Beach Assault on Saturday then there’s another chance to catch it again at 12.30pm.
Flying isn’t scheduled to start until 1.30pm but flying may be brought forward to 12pm in the event of adverse weather, organisers have said.
Festival goers are being encouraged to arrive for 12pm.
For an up to date flying timetable please purchase a souvenir programme which will allow you access to the online timetable which is updated throughout the event. New for 2017 is the Bournemouth Air Festival app which is free if you have purchased a programme. This app will also detail up to date flying timetables and can be activated with the code received with the programme. It is available on iOS and android.
