After ‘snowmageddon’ kept many of us housebound for days on end, it’s time to get out in the sunshine again and enjoy the start of Spring in Bournemouth. Here are five reason to be cheerful in March.
Bournemouth players sign to Beales
Today (March 6th) Bournemouth AFC superstars Simon Francis and Lewis Cook will meet fans and sign autographs to celebrate the opening of the Cherries’ own department in Beales.
You can find them between 5pm and 7pm, on the third floor at the Cherries’ department.
Both players can sign any merchandise to celebrate the club’s partnership with Beales, with Cherries products also available to buy from the department store on the evening. Up the Cherries!
Best of Bournemouth at BAPTA
The BAPTAs takes place at The Lighthouse, Poole, on March 15 and celebrates the best businesses in Bournemouth, from bars to clubs to retail, transport, family fun and more.
Once again, Canvas on Poole Hill are a hotly tipped finalist and one of the few places left to offer quality live music in the town centre.

Chuckles with Michael McIntyre
Michael McIntyre makes a welcome return to the BIC March 16-18, hosted by Best Places in the World.
The TV funnyman and ex-Britain’s Got Talent judge boasts the record for the biggest selling comedy shows in South Africa and Norway, and has sold more than 3.5million DVDs to date.
A:Skillz returns to Canvas on March 29, ably supported by the Cult .45 crew. Think proper vinyl, real music, live scratching and singalong funk, hip hop, breaks and beats.
Local legends DJ Cursa, Dafu & Deejay Leeroy open for A:Skillz on the night. Tickets cost £5; Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01202 556113 for more information.
Shake it off
Legendary house/techno night Shake has been making Bournemouth dance for nine flipping years! To celebrate, techno great Timo Mass headlines a must-see gig at Bomo Bunker on March 30. This WILL sell out so secure your ticket for £8 by clicking here: https://www.residentadvisor.net/events/1075202.
