Bournemouth Air Festival 2019 – What’s On Day Three – Saturday
The weekend has arrived and today is set to be a busy one at the air festival so get down early and secure your viewing spot!
The festival site opens at 10.00am and there is 1.5 miles of trading stands and funfair attractions along the seafront between the Bournemouth and Boscombe piers. Here you will also find the Army Village and the Royal Navy Village where you can find out more about joining, check out their military weapons and vehicles and meet members of the services.
There will actually be a ‘meet and greet‘ with the pilots from 11am to 12pm at the Best Western Hotel Royale including the pilots from the Saab Draken, RAF Typhoon Display Team and others! This is on a first come, first served basis so get down there early!
Up on the East Overcliff you will find the RAF Village which has a host of attractions including the popular Chinook replica and an interactive VR experience!
HMS Argyll and RFA Lyme Bay will be moored out in the bay and throughout the festival you can take a boat trip to see these impressive ships up close. Anchorage tours must be booked online and cost £10pp (over 10’s only).
The action in the air is due to start at 1.30pm. Please note aircraft are subject to availability and weather conditions. Flying times may be subject to change. End the night with a bang with a fantastic, free fireworks display over the water.
