Bournemouth Air Festival – What’s On Day Three – Saturday

Welcome to ‘Super Saturday’ – day three of the 2022 Bournemouth Air Festival! Along with a great line up don’t miss ‘Meet the Pilots‘ – your chance to meet the pilots at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel from 11am to 12pm, ‘Sea & Sky Sprint‘ where a Sunseeker Hawk 38 will be pitted against aerobatic plane G-JPIT and the flyby of a United States Air Force B-52H Stratofortress Bomber just before the RAF Red Arrows take flight with their special formation celebrating the Platinum Jubilee at 4.30pm. And of course the evening ends with a great fireworks display at 10.00pm!

Flying is due to start today at 12.30pm however please note that aircraft are subject to availability and weather conditions and flying times may be subject to change at any time.

What else is on?

The festival site is open from 10.00am with plenty to see and do on the beach between the Bournemouth and Boscombe piers, up on the East Overcliff and down in the Lower Gardens. The Royal Navy village, located on the beach, has interactive attractions and demonstrations, plus you can meet serving and former personnel and learn more about the navy and its charities. In the Army village, also on the beach, you can get up close to army equipment like the Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank, and meet soldiers who can tell you more about life in the army. Up on the East Overcliff you’ll find the popular RAF Village where you can meet the support teams for the Typhoon, Red Arrows, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Chinook, plus get information about a career in the RAF.
