From Friday 16th November the Alpine Lodge will be opening its doors to the festive folks of Bournemouth, in the midst of the Christmas market. Encompassing all the features of a traditional mountain ski lodge this year’s two storey lodge features a NEW outdoor balcony for viewing the hustle and bustle of the Market from the comfort of the bar, as well as plenty of cosy indoor seating across two floors.
The Alpine Lodge is set to host a number of fantastic festive events over the Christmas period. Challenge your mind whilst winning fantastic cash prizes with our weekly interactive quiz night every Tuesday – starting 20th November. Unwind from your Christmas shopping and relax at the Sunday Sessions at the Alpine Lodge – a great opportunity to enjoy live acoustic performances from talented local acts.
The Alpine Lodge offers a delectable apres-ski inspired menu of refreshing winter tipples, including the traditional spiced mulled wine and popular toffee apple cider with a dash of rum, guaranteed to warm you up on a cold Winter’s day. Every Thursday the Alpine Bar will be hosting a Happy Hour between 4pm and 7pm – meaning you can enjoy your favourite or try something new – each week the specials will change so be sure to keep an eye out!
This year the Alpine Lodge has partnered up with Bisou De Vin to create the ultimate sharing board featuring a delicious range of artisan meats and cheeses – the perfect party package for sharing with colleagues, friends or family over the busy Christmas period! Great news for all the foodies – all festive street food purchased from within the Christmas market can now be enjoyed within the Alpine Lodge, on our second floor. So it’s possible to enjoy mouthwatering Loaded Fries, Yorkshire pudding Wraps, traditional Bratwursts and so much more, accompanied by an ice cold stein or Mulled wine. We say cheers to that!
The Christmas market see’s a wide range of local and national craft traders offering their festive wares, alongside a creative mix of delicious street food traders including the traditional Bratwurst to melting Raclette cheese, or the specialist Vegan stall to hot and fresh tasty Churros! Take some time to wonder around, meet the traders, find yourself at the Christmas music stage, or treat yourself to a Sweet treat. It is Christmas after all!
Finally what would Christmas be without a visit to see Santa at his magical Grotto, this year situated in the heart of Bournemouth Gardens. Little visitors will take journey through this year’s brand new Christmas Tree Wonderland, with over 100 glittering tress pathing the way before meeting the man himself in the brand new Grotto.
