Taste of the South festival announces a brand-new feature for 2018 – the ‘Zen Den’ a dedicated health and wellbeing area. The event takes place on 21-22nd July at Chapel Gate, Christchurch, and organisers invite you to come along and find your zen!
The launch of the Zen Den aims to incite self-love and growth through an array of activities, products, ideas and tips encouraging you to learn how to listen to what your body needs, from spiritual growth, fitness and health, to natural remedies.
You can expect taster yoga classes on both days by Yoga Lounge Bournemouth, step-up fitness classes, healthy food & drink stands, vegan and vegetarian speciality stands, environmentally–friendly products, skincare, advice clinics, and talks plus much more.
If rolling around on a yoga mat eating falafel isn’t for you, fear not, there will be plenty of delicious locally-sourced food and drink, street food vans, and a bar area to tempt you plus entertainment for all ages, so you can kick back and relax too.
Says Jackie Phillipson, Organiser of Taste of the South, “We are thrilled to introduce the new Zen Den area to Taste of the South this year. Health and wellbeing is becoming more and more prevalent which is great, 10 years ago, there were 150,000 vegans in Britain, and now, there are at least 542,000! People are looking after themselves, and the entrepreneurs of the world are creating niche products, which include specialist items for those with intolerances and allergies.
With the pressures of everyday life looming upon us, it is important to look after your physical and mental health, refuelling and recharging where necessary – we even have hangover prevention products, made by Indulge Hangover Cure, at Taste of the South this year!
We also want to showcase a variety of cruelty-free alternative product and plastic free alternatives so come along and find your zen whilst eating nutritious foods! If you would like to take a stand space in the Zen Den or any other area of the event please get in touch with the team on firstname.lastname@example.org.”
