The Kings Arms Restaurant serves the very best in local and seasonal food using some of the very best local ingredients either caught, grown or prepared close to Christchurch from the New Forest and the waters of the South Coast.
In charge of the restaurant is Alex Aitken from Le Poussin, Limewood and The Jetty and the restaurant is also proud to introduce The Josper Grill, a technique that imparts a distinctive charcoal flavour to all the local and handpicked ingredients placed upon its coals.
The Spanish hybrid grill/oven, powered by hardwood oak charcoal is perfect for grilling meat, fish and vegetables swiftly, with an utterly distinctive oaky taste.
Located in the centre of Christchurch the restaurant, part of The Kings Arms Hotel Christchurch, has some beautiful views including the ruins of Christchurch castle.
All dishes are carefully prepared by the dedicated kitchen team so whether it’s Christchurch Bay Fish and Chips for lunch, a traditional cream tea in the afternoon or a juicy Sirloin steak in the evening, you can be assured that your meal will be of the highest quality and lovingly prepared.
And don’t miss the specials like ‘Friday Fizz ‘n’ Chips’ where you can sip Champagne and tuck into locally caught fish from nearby Mudeford Quay, or the ’15 Mile Menu’ where the £15 menu consists of locally sourced food from Dorset and the New Forest within a 15 mile radius!
The hotel also regularly holds special themed evenings and events, such as comedy nights, wine clubs and ladies lunches!
Finally the Kings Supper Club meets every month where you can enjoy an evening with Alex Aitken, who will cook three dishes from his popular 15 Mile Menu, showcasing the best local ingredients, with the perfect wine to accompany each dish!
And if you feel like making a night of it why not book yourself in to one of their luxurious rooms and get to enjoy this beautiful Georgian hotel in the heart of Christchurch.
