Folk on the Quay is a free folk festival which takes place on Poole’s quayside on 30th June 2018 and features colourful displays of dance accompanied by live music from acoustic acts to lively bands.
Featuring three stages this free event will take over Poole Quay with renowned folk acts, workshops and children’s entertainment.
The Main Stage is of course the biggest stage! It is situated in the middle of the Quay on the roundabout. The road will be closed off so that people can enjoy the outdoor standing concerts and ceilidh dances in the late afternoon.
The Appalachian Stage is located outside the Quay Amusements and has a set of dancing boards laid out in front of the band to enjoy some of the UK’s finest Appalachian step dancing originating from the mountain music of the USA.
Finally the Land Lubbers Stage is along the walkway on The Quay, opposite the Poole Arms and The Portsmouth Hoy and hosts great music throughout the day.
