The Pirates of Poole are thrilled to announce the arrival of the spectacular Galeon Andalucía, an authentic replica of a 17th-century Spanish galleon, which will dock at Poole Harbour on Tuesday the 30th of July. She will be entering the harbour at approximately 1130am and will be greeted with a cannon/musket salute from the Pirates of Poole.
This magnificent vessel, known for its historical significance and stunning craftsmanship, will be open for public tours from the 31st of July. The Galeon Andalucía is a faithful reconstruction of the iconic ships that once sailed the high seas during Spain’s Golden Age of Exploration. With her towering masts, intricate rigging, and rich wooden interior, the galleon provides a unique opportunity for visitors to step back in time and experience maritime history
The exhibition will provide a rare opportunity for visitors to explore the intricate details and storied past of ‘Galeon Andalucia’. Built by the Nao Victoria Foundation at the Punta Umbria shipyard in Spain, the tallship has traversed over 70,000 nautical miles across the world’s oceans, participating in numerous cultural projects and engaging thousands of visitors at ports spanning four continents.

The visit to the Galleon consists of a self-guided walking tour. Once on board, you are free to wander its decks, talk to the actual crew members (real sailors living on board), and contemplate dozens of interactive exhibits, videos, projections and historical documents. Photos are allowed.
