Poole BID’s Big Clean initiative returned for a second year from Monday, April 23 until Saturday, April 28. The cleaning took place throughout the high street of Poole and within the area covered by the Business Improvement District.
Volunteers joined Justin Hundley-Appleton, BID manager, and his team throughout the week for a variety of tasks to get the town ready for the busy summer season.
Jobs were completed throughout the week, including cleaning 78 shop windows, 62 store signs and clearing out 47 gutters. Four days of volunteer-led litter picking resulted in the collection of 39 bags of rubbish.
Justin commented: “It was great to see so many of the local businesses offering to help out and get the town ready for the busy summer period. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to everyone who helped us out over the week, all efforts have been greatly appreciated and not just by me, but from our levy-paying businesses and board of directors too.”
