Bournemouth….Get ready to glide, sparkle and celebrate, SKATE Bournemouth returns this winter with an exciting upgrade!
From 13th November 2025 to 4th January 2026, the beloved ice rink in Bournemouth’s Lower Gardens will feature a brand-new layout, enhanced facilities and the longest real ice rink in the UK, stretching 70 metres.

- Longest UK rink: At 70m, this ice rink sets a new standard for festive ice skating in Britain.
- Improved facilities: A separate skate-hire marquee complete with its own toilets and queuing area, to make gearing up smoother and more comfortable.
- Expanded viewing options: An expansive platform and generous outdoor terrace allow spectators to take in the action in style.
- Brand-new bar: Cosy up after skating with festive cocktails, mulled drinks & hot chocolates at the Moguls Alpine Bar which hugs the edge of the rink.
- Themed events & special sessions: Expect themed days, student nights and unlimited skate sessions among the highlights.
