About
Located opposite Boscombe Pier in the chine, Boscombe Chine Gardens are beautiful gardens dating back to the 1880’s.
The colourful bedding displays complement the grassy areas, the original spa shelters and the lodge.
There is also a children’s water play area, an 18 hole mini golf course and a ball court, perfect for a kick about or to shoot some hoops!
Holder of the Green Flag award since 2007, these gardens are also recognised as Bournemouth’s 10th local nature reserve and a winner of the Best Park in Southern England.

The gardens are also a great place to learn about our local wildlife. There is an education centre and events are often held throughout the year, such as a bat walk!
Children will love the nature trail, funded by Friends of Boscombe Chine Gardens. This trail consists of 12 question and answer posts and is a great way to educate children (and maybe even some of us grown-ups!) about our local nature and wildlife in a fun way.
The terrace cafe serves a range of refreshments and snacks and the land train, which goes into Bournemouth, stops just outside.
