  • About

The BIC (Bournemouth International Centre) along with its sister venue the Bournemouth Pavilion is a well established venue on the South Coast for show stopping performances.

Situated in the heart of Bournemouth it is now the largest venue on the South Coast.

Whether you feel like a laugh with one of the country’s top comedians, a sing-a-long with your favourite artist or be moved by a compelling ballet performance, the BIC has it all.

The BIC was opened in 1984 as a conference, entertainment, exhibition and leisure centre. Nowadays it consists of four halls, the Windsor Hall, Solent Hall, Purbeck Hall and Tregonwell Hall.

The Windsor Hall is the BIC’s main auditorium with a capacity of up to 6,500. It offers flat floored and tiered seating. As the largest it hosts everything from major pop concerts to political party conventions, sporting events to public exhibitions.

The Solent Hall is the newest hall and some of you may recall that it used to house the swimming pool, which was closed in 2004. Adjacent to the Windsor Hall it enjoys views over the Bournemouth coastline and is used for concerts, conferences and exhibitions.

The Purbeck Hall is of a circular design, very modern and has direct access from the West Cliff. It is usually used for exhibitions, conferences or social events.

The Tregonwell Hall is smaller and sound-proofed and is perfect for conferences.

There is also a selection of smaller rooms available for product launches, fashion shows or smaller meetings and sales conferences.

With a packed out events calendar, you are bound to find something to tempt you!

From modern pop artists to legendary country stars, side-splitting comedians to breath-taking opera, the BIC is now the leading venue for events in the area.

It also hosts regular wedding shows, an ice rink in winter and backstage tours of the BIC are also available at various times throughout the year.

There are a number of car parks in the area, one adjacent to the BIC with parking for 650 cars. Please note that these are public car parks so can get full quite quickly. Ensure you leave plenty of time to park up or leave the car at home and get a bus or taxi!

Finally within the BIC are various bars and lounges serving a full range of beers, wines, spirits and speciality promotions.
