Branksome Chine Beach is a popular wide sandy beach and another of Poole’s Blue Flag beaches.
The beach is patrolled by lifeguards from May to September and they also operate a lost children’s patrol during this period.
Beach wheelchairs are available to hire from Branksome Chine beach office between 9:30am to 4:30pm, from May to September. You will have to pay a £50 cash deposit and it’s on a first come, first served basis.
There are plenty of facilities available at this beach including toilets, a shop and a popular restaurant and terrace bar.
Enjoying beautiful views of the Isle of Wight and Ballard Downs, the beach is a perfect place to chill out and relax.
Traditional beach huts are available to hire along the beach and are an excellent way to escape the summer sun. These beach huts are available to hire by the day or by the week from Poole council, although some are available directly from the beach hut tenants. To book a beach hut in Poole you can do so online via the Poole.gov website
There is a car park at the beach and some on-road parking though this is limited.
Dogs are welcome however they are not allowed on the main beach from 1st May to 30th September.
Barbeques can be held between 6pm and 10.30pm. Please dispose of all rubbish responsibly in the bins provided but remember to douse disposable barbecues with water after use and leave them next to the rubbish bins on the promenade for the beach cleansing team to collect once they have cooled down. Only disposable barbecues are permitted, no gas barbecues or open fires.
