Hidden among the rolling hills of a nature reserve in Dorset’s Isle of Purbeck is Careys Secret Garden. Left wild (and most definitely untamed) for far too long, Careys Secret Garden is gently coming back to life. Come and join us for a Garden Visit.
Beyond a productive and beautiful garden, Carey is a space to grow skills and inspiration through our unique events. The Secret Garden host events throughout the year, from Horse Logging, to Scented Gardening, Mushroom Foraging to Moth Identification, Bird Song to Clay Workshops, and Permaculture to Propagation. Please visit the Events page to see what’s coming up.
The Secret Salt Pig coffee shop within the walls of the garden (in the old ‘Tatty Store’) offers a delicious range of refreshments, light lunches, cakes, ice cream, and the BEST coffee!
Careys Secret Garden is open each week, Thursday to Saturday from 10am. (Closed in August for secret rewilding projects). Please see website for ticket prices, opening times, Garden Tour information, and courses and events. Annual memberships and gift vouchers also available.
Careys Secret Garden is approx. 5 minutes drive from Wareham Train Station, detailed directions will be sent to you with your booking confirmation.
