Farmer Palmers is currently closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The following statement was released on 20th March:
We are heartbroken . . . ???
Unfortunately, the time has come to TEMPORARILY close our doors.
Following this evening’s announcement from the Government regarding measures to control the spread of covid-19, we have had to make the incredibly difficult, yet responsible decision, to close our beloved Farm Park attraction to the public.
We are so sorry.
We did everything we could to stay open, and as you will gather from our email sent earlier today, we really thought we’d be able to have just one more weekend to welcome you to enjoy some fresh air and play.
Sadly this is not the case.
We wholeheartedly thank you all for your support during this extremely challenging time.
The health of our family, our customers, and our team members remains our biggest priority.
We will now be updating our website and social media and contacting those of you with existing bookings for parties and answering your queries.
Please bear with us, while we work through this as fast as we can.
Preferably send us an email rather than phoning. Our team will be on reduced hours which we will update you on via the website and social channels.
Farmer Palmers is a popular family attraction located close to Poole which allows children to get close to all sorts of farm animals, learn about them and having fun whilst doing so.
This park has won various awards including the NFAN National Award for Customer Service – Highly Commended (a highly competitive award against all of the farm parks in the UK), a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor and a Netmums Favourite award.
Ideal for children under 8 years old, the park has a mixture of indoor and outdoor play activities and a working farm which allows children to experience first hand a bit about farming life.
Farmer Palmers has a daily timetable of events which includes a live milking demonstration where children can watch a cow being milked There’s also the opportunity to help with the bottle feeding of the lambs or goat kids.
The children can meet and hold a Guinea Pig in the Animal Barn and then there are the adorable ponies that just loved to be groomed by the little ones!
And of course there’s all the other animals – chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, alpacas, deer, cows, sheep and rabbits, to name but a few, all of which love getting attention from the children, and often the adults too!
There are acres of fun for little adventurers to explore! From interactive soft play for tiny tots to racing on the pedal go-karts for youngsters, Farmer Palmers aim to send your children home tired and happy!
The water play area allows children to pump the water and watch it flow whilst the sand play area has traditional play equipment such as swings, slides, see-saws and climbing frames.
The farm also has two bouncy castles, one inside and one outside and there is also a Wendy House play area where they can let their imaginations run wild. For getting back to nature there is the tranquil woodland walk, along the Sherford River and into the woods.
And when you need a rest or a quick bite to eat then head over to the Hen House restaurant where you can find traditional home cooked meals for both children and adults. The grown ups may also be pleased to hear that there is even a licensed bar!
There is a fully stocked gift shop to buy little souvenirs and throughout the year there are various events such as Easter egg hunts, Halloween family fun and of course, Santa always pops by in the run up to Christmas!
Plus if you visit them by Wilts and Dorset bus (number 40) you will receive 10% discount on admission! Full details on special offers, events, birthday parties and annual passes can be found on the website.
For a fun and educational day out you cannot beat Farmer Palmer’s, one of the South’s leading attractions.
