Rockley Watersports, established since 1976 are Dorset’s leading provider of sailing, windsurfing and powerboat training.
Whether it’s a week long sailing course or a 2 hour windsurf taster session, Rockley has something for everyone!
Rockley are based at Rockley Point in Poole and operate a training centre and a Beach Club from there.
They also have a watersports centre at Poole Park which offers a hire facility from pedalos to sailing dinghies and a number of windsurfing and kayaking sessions.
Poole Harbour is the ideal place to learn to sail with calm waters. The sailing courses run by Rockley Watersports are aimed at every age group from juniors through to adults at every level of experience from beginner to advanced. All courses lead to RYA certificates and private tuition is also available.
For those looking for a bit more speed Rockley Watersports offer the full range of RYA courses in powerboating, from your very first introduction to powerboating, to advanced navigation and offshore qualifications.
Meanwhile over in Poole Park you can slow it all down by hiring a kayak and enjoying a leisurely paddle around the lake. If you are new to kayaking then Rockley Watersports offer a taster session to get you going.
They also provide windsurfing courses at Poole Park from a 2 hour taster session to a 2 day course.
But it’s not all about being out on the water as Rockley Watersports provide a number of shorebased courses to accompany the water based activities including VHF radio, day skipper and first aid. And if you’ve ever fancied becoming an instructor yourself then again they provide a range of courses including RYA Dinghy, RYA Senior, RYA Powerboat and RYA Windsurf instructor courses.
Plus you may be interested to know that Rockley Watersports hold a number of Multi Activity Weeks for kids aged 10 to 16 years old. These weeks allow the youngsters to have a go at a range of activities and they can even stay the whole week in their residential accommodation.
