Day two of the 2018 Bournemouth Air Festival sees some more aircraft displays and a fireworks display, plus some more fantastic live music.
So what’s in store on day two?
Once again the festival site opens at 10.00am with 1.5 miles of trading stands along the seafront between the Bournemouth and Boscombe piers. Here you will also find the Army Villageand the Royal Navy Village. At Pier Approach you will find the RAF Village which features a static Typhoon and interactive virtual reality experience plus the Red Arrows support team!
At 11.00am there is a special ‘meet and greet’ with the Red Arrows pilots at the Best Western Hotel Royale in Gervis Road! – First come, first served basis so start queuing early!
New for this year is the Gravity Jet Suit Display Demonstration which will ‘take off’ at approximately 1.15pm.
Out in the bay is HMS Diamond – why not book an anchorage tour to go see her up close?
The action in the air is due to start at 1.30pm. Please note aircraft are subject to availability and weather conditions. Flying times may be subject to change. The Royal Marines Unarmed Combat demonstration is set to take place at 1.00pm on the beach.
Bournemouth Gardens Entertainment: 6.00pm till 9.00pm
There will be family entertainment in the Lower Gardens from 6pm until 9.00pm including Incredible Faces Face Painting, Jamie Jigsaw, Liberty’s Centre Birds of Prey and Simon Chainey Fire Performances. Plus do not miss the Royal Marines Unarmed Combat demonstration at 6.30pm, also in the lower gardens.
Live Music: 6.30pm till 10.00pm
There will be live music on the Bournemouth Stage from ‘Danny Adams’ at 6.30pm followed by ‘The Stevie Wonder Tribute Band’ at 8.00pm.
Catch the fireworks display from Bournemouth Pier at 10.00pm.
