Expand your knowledge and creative skills in visual effects, computer animation and games across this year’s BFX Festival.
The programme of events includes a 3 day online Speaker Series giving you the opportunity to engage in presentations from world class studios. A carefully curated weekend Masterclass programme will take place at Bournemouth University where a plethora of talented creatives will guide you through their field of expertise allowing you to enjoy developing your knowledge and practical skills.
Speaker Series, Tuesday 2 – Thursday 4 November
You’ll be inspired as you gain insights from creative minds into launching your successful career or furthering your professional achievements. Attend all three days or choose your specialism and purchase your ticket just for the day.

Masterclasses, Friday 5 – Sunday 7 November
The masterclass programme is made up of industry practitioners and therefore includes a variety of topics which will provide material for our attendees which they might not get elsewhere. These experts will show their methods and techniques in their professional activities.
Day 1, Friday is brought to you by CAVE Academy specialists, Jahirul Amin and Jon Reilly presenting:
• “Introduction to the asset pipeline”
• “Concept sculpting for VFX”
• “Photogrammetry for beginners”.
Day 2, Saturday brings a variety of exciting classes:
• Sefki Ibrahim presents, “Creating photo real characters in CG”
• Join Simone Giampaolo for “Directing Animation (for dummies)”
• Christopher Antoniou covers the process of modelling digi-doubles for VFX
• Luis Cataldi offers a free class, “Exploring the Quixel ecosystem”.
Day 3, Sunday our last day of activity offers:
• “Shooting HDRI’s and panoramas” by Jahirul Amin
• “Acting for Animators”, from Ace Ruele
• “Animating characters for fun and money” presented by Mark Spokes.
Every masterclass has something unique to offer, with some classes running in parallel it will be a tough choice for some of our attendees to pick between. The diverse events will allow you to enrich your experience and the skills that you will gain are adaptable to be used outside of its main topic.
