Get into the community spirit and join BCP Council over the bank holiday weekend of 6 – 8 May at The Quomps, Christchurch.
Over this weekend, BCP Council are encouraging everyone to get in the community spirit and come together to watch the events that mark this historic occasion.
On Saturday 6 May, bring your picnic blankets and some tasty treats and enjoy the Coronation Service screening, then join in as the party continues throughout the day with a fancy dress competition, live music from Audio All Stars and The Acoustics, and traditional Irish, Morris and Maypole dancing. There will also be food and drink stalls providing refreshments throughout the day, free face painters, and fairground rides for all ages to enjoy.
On Sunday 7th you’re encouraged to bring a picnic to the Monastic Lawn as part of the Coronation Big Lunch in a nationwide act of celebration and friendship. And at the end of this fun-filled day, watch the Coronation Concert on the Big Screen in The Quomps with your family and friends.
And on Monday 8 May, come down to the Priory and meet local organisations and charities and find out how you can help them through volunteering.
