“Future Cargo” by Requardt & Rosenberg
Future Cargo’s truck will arrive in Bournemouth in an unknown location loaded with a mystery shipment. As the sides roll up, a strange and unstoppable process is set into motion. Beautiful, funny, quirky, ethereal and otherworldly, Future Cargo is a sci-fi dance show and, like all Requardt & Rosenberg’s highly visible and unique shows, it delivers a deeply intimate experience within a large-scale dance spectacle.
Produced by The Place.
“Geophonic” by Lorna Rees
Geophonic is a sonic journey like no other! Taking you on an exploration of sound and the natural world, this immersive performance encourages us to listen to the natural sounds of the earth. Reminding us that humans are part of nature.
Using unique and beautiful hand-spun aluminium geophones you’ll be taken on a guided journey to listen and observe your surroundings interspersed with spontaneous dance including a folk style jig and a 90s rave remix of disco classics.
From naturally occurring sound to human voice, recordings and music inspired by British folk, psychedelic funk and 90s rave culture, this is a geology sound and dance experience not to be missed! Produced and commissioned by Activate Performing Arts, producers of Inside Out Dorset.
