Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life in Bournemouth
The Race for Life 5km & 10km takes place on The Seafront in Bournemouth on Sunday 14th June 2026 and is open to people of all ages and abilities.
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is an inspiring series of 5k, 10k, Pretty Muddy and Pretty Muddy Kids events which raise millions of pounds every year to help beat cancer by funding crucial research.
Cancer Research UK receives no Government funding for its ground-breaking research.That’s why money raised through the Race for Life events is vital. It funds world-class research to help beat 200 types of cancer – including bowel cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, testicular cancer, brain cancer, children’s cancers and leukaemia.
5k Race
Sign up for Race for Life 5k – The 5k is an achievable distance and a good first challenge for most people. At just over 3 miles it can take about an hour to walk on average, but there’s no pressure to finish in a certain time. Go at your own pace to help fund life-saving cancer research.
10k Race
Sign up for Race for Life 10k – Looking for more of a challenge without any pressure? Race for Life 10k is for you! The 10k events are now chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best – while you’re raising funds to help beat cancer. 10k is just over 6 miles. Take it at your own pace or push yourself a little more. Have fun with it and enjoy the atmosphere.
The entry fees cover the cost of organising and running your event on the day. It does not contribute towards your sponsorship total, so please try and raise as much as you can to help Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.
