Before you overindulge on Turkey, Christmas pud and sweets, why not take a morning dip in the sea and help raise money for Macmillan Caring Locally!
THE much-loved Macmillan White Christmas Dip will be returning for its 13th year and is raising money to build a new hospice.
After coronavirus halted proceedings last Christmas and the dip was cancelled, organisers are delighted to be bringing back the charitable tradition.
This year for the first time they are introducing a PWYC (pay what you can) registration. They recommend a donation of £10 per person, but want everyone to be able to join in regardless of means, so if you can’t afford £10 please pay what you can. If you can afford to donate more than £10, that would be amazing. All donations will be going to a great cause, ‘Brick by Brick’ the capital appeal to build a new Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital.
The event is open to all ages and all they ask is that you sign a disclaimer indicating that you can swim well enough to feel comfortable joining everyone in the sea for a quick dip.
The event takes place to the right of Boscombe Pier in Bournemouth and is open to all ages. You will need to sign in between 9.45am and 10.00am on Christmas morning with the dip taking place at 10.30am.
To take part in the event please register via the White Christmas Dip website.
