Before you overindulge on Turkey, Christmas pud and sweets, why not take a morning dip in the sea and help raise money for Macmillan Caring Locally!
THE much-loved Macmillan White Christmas Dip raises money for Macmillan Caring Locally who provide much-needed palliative care for patients with advanced, progressive or incurable illnesses, and support for their families during incredibly difficult times.
The event is open to all ages and all they ask is that you sign a disclaimer indicating that you can swim well enough to feel comfortable joining everyone in the sea for a quick dip.
The event takes place to the right of Boscombe Pier in Bournemouth and is open to all ages. You will need to sign in between 9.45am and 10.00am on Christmas morning with the dip taking place at 10.30am.
Each participant is asked to make a small donation of £7.50 when registering, and they encourage “dippers” to seek sponsorship from friends, family, employers and businesses.
To take part in the event please register via the White Christmas Dip website.
Macmillan Caring Locally, provide the terminally ill with specialist palliative care in Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch.
