Aruba to open second beach bar on Bournemouth seafront after winning bid

Sunset Beach Club will open on Friday 16th July

The team behind Aruba has been granted permission to open a second bar on Bournemouth Beach after winning a competitive pitch.

Taking inspiration from the Balearic Islands and Bali, Sunset Beach Club is a restaurant and beach bar collaboratively curated by Aruba, Bournemouth’s only beachside nightlife venue, and the Lost Paradise team.

Andy Price, owner of Aruba, said: “We’ve been operating hospitality venues on the seafront for over 20 years and have the expertise to keep bringing new experiences to Bournemouth Beach. We are pleased that BCP Council has embraced consumer trends and is enabling us to entertain locals and tourists directly on our golden sands.

“Using our extensive experience and in collaboration with the Lost Paradise team, we’ve created what will be a very popular destination this summer. With delicious food, cocktails and the ultimate chilled beach club atmosphere, Sunset Beach is set to be in high demand, especially as we’re opening just in time for the heatwave!”

Clarks Kitchen, a Dorset-based street food kitchen, will be serving up a varied menu of halloumi fries, burgers, wraps and other classic street dishes from 12pm every day. Cold beers, cocktails and some of the south’s best DJs complete the vibes at Bournemouth’s newest beach club destination.

Sunset Beach Club opens to the public at midday on Friday 16th July and is positioned to the left of Bournemouth Pier. It is the second bar to be run by Aruba following the opening of W Beach, a beach bar opposite Westbeach, earlier this year.

Sunset Beach Club is open from midday until late every day and will be operating until late September. Please follow @sunsetbeachclubbournemouth on Instagram or visit aruba-bournemouth.co.uk for more information.
