In March, the Bournemouth seafront came alive with compassion and determination as 203 participants joined March for Men, walking, running and jogging to raise £23,065 for a brighter future for those affected by prostate cancer.
Filled with laughter, community spirit, and shared purpose, March for Men showcased the incredible difference that can be made when local people unite behind an important cause.
The remarkable funds raised will help provide state‑of‑the‑art equipment, meaningful resources and enhanced patient care that goes above and beyond standard NHS provision.
Jim Voss, Consultant Urologist at University Hospitals Dorset, said: “In my role, I see the impact of prostate cancer up close, and it stays with you. That’s why the total raised from March for Men is so extraordinary. It will directly enhance the care we provide at University Hospitals Dorset by funding life‑changing equipment and initiatives. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen.”
Aurelia Chliwna, Public Fundraising Officer for University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity, said: “Prostate cancer touches so many lives in our region, and events like March for Men show just how incredible our community is when we come together to support each other.
